The problem
For every project, a Heembouw estimator compared 5 to 10 quotes from subcontractors. Each quote arrived in a different format (PDF, Excel, email) with its own price breakdown. Retyping and aligning everything took half a day to a full day per request, and errors went unnoticed until the purchase was already agreed.
The solution
A quote comparison tool that reads incoming quotes automatically, recognises line items and puts them into one standard layout. Deviations in scope and price are flagged, so the estimator sees straight away what is not comparable.
The result
Comparing now takes 30 to 60 minutes instead of half a day to a full day. Calculation errors have disappeared and estimators negotiate more sharply, because they see exactly where a supplier deviates.
